Computing Technology and Services
 
Computing Technology and Services (CTS) is contracted by various departments and research groups throughout the Washington University School of Engineering to provide various technical services, including operation of computer systems, software installation, network installation and operation, equipment repair, and advice on hardware and software purchases.

CTS Services

  • Unix and NT backups, typically Monthly Fulls, weekly and daily incrementals (400GB+/week).
  • Operational support for Solaris, Tru64/OSF1, NT, Linux and limited support for other Unices.
  • Package/Layered product instalation.
  • User account administration.
  • Hardware trouble shooting, upgrade recommendations.
  • Network planning and administration.
